Sue trained as a teacher and specialised in teaching art. She taught art at an FE college on courses for people who experience learning disabilities, for many years. Having retired recently, Sue is enjoying taking up art herself again and particularly the challenge of painting in watercolours. Being a nature lover, Sue enjoys going out into the landscape and sketching outside to absorb all that our wonderful countryside has to offer. Trips to Scotland, Yorkshire, New Zealand and the Outer Hebrides have been particularly inspiring. Recent work aims to explore texture through the use of watercolour and other water-based media. Sue is a member of the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists, Cambridge Open Studios and Cottenham Arts Group and regularly exhibits in Cambridgeshire
